How to start

No, you don't have to wait till the first of the month or the first of a grading period. You start on the day you enroll or a day of your choice.  You have 6 or 8 weeks from the day you enroll to complete the course, depending on which time period you selected.

Check your email for your password and instructions on downloading the app for your phone.  Then you log in.  Your course icon will be awaiting you.  Click it and get started.

Trandsferring is not a lengthy process.  Contact David or Paul and tell them you want to transfer from your school to PinnacleScholars.com.  One of them will work with you to transfer the courses you have or are taking to PinnacleScholar's transcript.  You will line up your new courses to take and start them immediately or on a mutually agreed upon date.

You will notice an immediate difference in the way school is organized, but the difference is more in accordance with how your brain learns.  So jump right in.  Courses are designed for you to work hard, understand the necessary information, and explore your interests on a topic in the subject.  You will have the freedom of how to organize your study time.  The freedom is not in whether to do your assignment or not, but to choose times to study, work, and submit your learning.  Some people like to work for long periods of time, then rest.  Others like to work in several smaller chunks of time throughout the day and evening.  You choose.  Your teacher will communicate with you in several ways to.  You may have a text, an in app message, a video chat, or a video for you to play.  We think you'll like being the one in charge of your organization.  We will help you in organizing your time as you start the course because we never want you confused between freedom of organization and freedom from performing your work.

Something that is also different to get accustomed to is the progression through assignments.  When you submit an assignment, you will be given feedback on it within 24 hours.  You won't receive a numbered "grade" on it because you will either have shown that you know the material or you don't.  If the knowledge you shared needs to be elaborated on, your teacher will guide you into more exploration of the subject.  By the end of the course, you will understand the subject's core principles and what you wanted to explore on your own. 

When you know the course you want to take, pay for the course through the Enroll tab at the top of the page.  Click on the course.  A second screen will appear with the course icon and the payment amount for you to verify the selection of your course.  Click on Add to Cart.  You will see another screen to review and submit.  Enter your card information on the succeeding screen and submit it for payment.  You'll be officially started in your course and will receive an enrollment notice from Talent Learning Management System that allows you to access the course and start your assignments.
